Stretching is important to fitness but is often ignored or overlooked. Frequently, I work with people who do not ‘feel’ like they need to stretch or foam roll and realize when they do stretch, they needed it more than they thought.
The stretching classes focus on lengthening tight muscles that may be causing pain or discomfort. The goal is to maintain or regain proper range of motion and to stretch overactive and/or overworked muscles and relax tight connective tissue. This work ensures that all exercises can be performed by the right muscle groups at the right times and that full range of motion is achieved for each exercise.
No equipment is necessary, but it is suggested to have a yoga mat, resistance bands and a foam roller.
Stretch classes are held Monday – Friday.
